This special edition PlayStation portable game system has an extensive library of games and well-designed controls. Sony offers a more powerful gaming option to your smart phone while also allowing for multi-use. The Sony PSP-3000 features a 4.3-inch LCD screen with four brightness levels and 480 x 272 pixels. The screen has anti-reflective technology to allow for easier outdoor game play. The system has 4 MB of graphic memory and 64 MB of SDRAM with a MIPS R4000 CPU. The Sony PSP-3000 uses a UMD drive to play games and other media. It also features a Memory Stick PRO slot for managing storage space. It has a built-in microphone, AV stereo output port, and USB 2.0 and supports Bluetooth. The PSP-3000 also has wireless Internet capability so that you can download games, music, and movies or browse the Internet. Controls on the Sony PSP are located on both the left and right sides of the screen, allowing full, easy access to the buttons without blocking any part of the screen. The mystic silver Sony PSP-3000 handheld system uses an internal, rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Depending on use, the battery on the Sony PSP will last up to seven hours. This sleek PSP model has a slim, silver casing with gray and black accents. It measures 2.9” x 6.7” x 0.9” and weighs 0.42 pounds, making it ultra portable, even when including accessories and games. The Sony PSP-3000 can be connected remotely to other PlayStation accessories like a PS3. In addition to playing games, you can listen to music, watch movies, make Skype calls, and search the Internet on the Sony PSP system. Worked out great.
My old black psp 3001 had a broken latch for the screens transfer ribbon, so getting a new one was my only option. Finding this used one for cheap worked out really well. Got a 32gb memory card for it and have all my ps1 classics installed already. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the face plate has a bit of a deep scratch in the middle of the screen, and the battery appears to be a bit shot as it gets to about 60% battery life after an hour and then just dies. Memory Card Problem

It's good for an outdated console.
I recently got the bug to replay the classic Spyro trilogy, and found out that I can buy them online for a PSP and be able to play them anywhere. So I searched and searched for a great priced psp3000 and finally found one. I still haven't bought the games but I'm excited to relive my childhood. The only downside is that you can't connect to the Internet with older PSPs anymore, so I have to connect it to a ps3 or pc. Very lightweight and portable gaming console. This is for a 5 YO child and believe he will take to it well as long as I can find some reasonable game disks that interest him. It should last for awhile (notwithstanding battery) so eventually he will grow into it anyway. Only issue is WIFI which will not connect via modern protocols. I bought the Mystic Silver Sony PSP-3000 for a bit of nostalgia gaming. I had a few back in the mid 2000's when they were the portable console to own. They were way ahead of their time! They as still impressive, even 14 years later! The one I purchased is in near mint condition, and I paid $97.50 for it with charger and case. A GREAT value. It seems the PSP's are steadily rising in value due to the popularity of retro gaming. I easily paired it with my Sony PS3 console, so I could purchase and download games. If you are into retro and nostalgia gaming, I HIGLY recommend buying one before they get too expensive. Be sure to do your homework, and get one that has been lightly used, so it will last.
