        Knife doesn't work for me, but it might for someone else

        I bought this knife to replace one that TSA confiscated from me when I absent-mindedly had left it in my carry-on. I thought this one was exactly the same, but it is not. This is a good knife, but larger, heavier, and angled differently than the one I was replacing, which seems to be discontinued. There's just something wrong with the ergonomics of this knife. I find the angle of this knife too extreme for my hands, and in some more vigorous cutting, it can be a little dangerous. I've used the knife only three or four times before a slight unconscious repositioning of my hand resulted in a cut. So, in short, I'm not using the knife due to it's design, but the knife itself is fine I guess, if you like or can work with it's design. I can't. I've retired it.

        A little to large

        The knife is well made. It is strong and robust too much so. I think for a defense knife it could be thinner to reduce weight. I have medium hands and the handle is a little large. My biggest complaint is the sheath. It has limited mounting.positions and no provision to tighten it up as it wears. Just like on my small TDI a new kydex sheath to s on the way over all I would recommend this knife but it could be so much better.

        Ka-bar TDI series

        I own several of these knives, regular & large sizes. There are several great videos on YouTube covering these knives, and the TDI school where the concept originated. The sheath for the large TDI knives is perfect for installation on a Duty Belt via the two velcro straps with snap-fasteners. The straps can be reversed so you can wear the sheath on the inside or outside of your belt, forward or reverse grip-draw. The handles are comfortable & very ergonomic. The blades are full-tang, heavy duty yet easy to sharpen. The blade arrives very sharp, and a few passes over my ceramic rods keeps it razor sharp. One of the most perfect knife/sheath combinations for both weapons retention drills and self-defense, I wear mine on the left side at the 9 o"clock position in & out of uniform. The ...

        Good duty knife

        I bought this knife so that I could attach it directly to my duty belt. I prefer to carry a knife this way since it is very accessible for me instead of carrying a folding knife in my pocket. I placed it in such a way that retention will not be an issue. The quality of the knife is outstanding and the sheath is fine as well. I highly recommend this knife.

        Really nice self defense knife especially for the price, yes there are better ones out there if you want to spend $100/$200 but the price of this knife you can't go wrong. Only time will tell how well it holds up. But from day one I'm impressed.
