    DORMAN Constant Velocity CV Joint Boot Kit 614-001

    I have installed several of these boots on the various front wheel drive cars that we have owned, and they are the very best quality of any boots that I have seen. Other boots have fewer "folds" in the bellows, and the rubber is much stiffer. The result is that the Dorman boots last a lot longer than the thicker, stiffer, and lower quality boots that are used on rebuilt axle shafts. I just had to replace the first Dorman boot that I installed, and it was seven years old, and had about 60,000 miles on it. My experience is that CV joints don't wear out until the boot breaks, and then water and sand get in and ruin the joint. If you change the boot immediately after the boot begins leaking grease, the joint will last forever. So, the trick is to buy the longest lasting boot that you can ...

    Quality product

    This is second unit purchased for 2007 Camry. I already replaced driver side outer boot few months ago and noticed passenger side need replacement, too. I used cone method to replace driver side and it wasn’t too difficult to replace. It’s holding well and I am sure this time will be easier then first.
