A cheap stopgap option
If you are on a tight budget and want to enjoy some more low end from your music and movies you can't go wrong with this sub. Instead of spending $200 on a mediocre subwoofer, pick this up for under $70 used, and save up your extra money so that you can eventually replace it with a SVS, HSU or BIC subwoofer. I use these in my desktop setup in a small room. The sub blended in perfectly with my speakers and brings in the lower end that I needed. You will not like this subwoofer if you are in a large room, or if you want the bass to rattle your windows from 10 ft away. Awesome sub woofer!
I have used many subwoofers in the past, Panasonic, Sony, LG. But this one shines above the rest. It is the perfect companion to the Yamaha HTR-6030 receiver. The interface is amazing. You simply configure it with the speaker set up and you receive the perfect balance. I am pretty sure it would work with any system. Great little sub.
I purchased two of these little Yamaha sub's. I needed some low frequency support for my two Altec Lancing Voice of the theater speakers. After ordering them I had second thoughts in regards to their performance. They are only 8 inches. I hoped they would Deliver enough power. What a pleasant surprise these little subs kicked rear.
