Great reliable product at a good price
I have probably used a Plantronics headset for 10 years now. I'm on my second one, over that period of time. It came recommended to me, and I have always enjoyed it. I now have a "second home" for work, and missed not having it with me - I now hate having to actually hold a phone, and it gets tiresome having to remember what I need to take back and forth with me. So, I sprung for a headset. Well, at first I found a Panasonic headset for less. I like Panasonic products, so bought one. First disappointing Panasonic product I've run across. The sound was muffled and my wife said that I sounded like I was talking in a tin can. I found the Plantronics headset here on eBay for the price I wanted to pay. As always, I love it, love this model for the price. The sound is excellent, it's comfortable, has volume control and MUTE... It's very good overall, well worth the price. The only problem is the flimsy cord. We've had two cords go bad where they meet the jack that goes into the phone. Good low cost cordless phone headset.
It is the best cordless phone headset I've tried. Good enough so I quit looking. Has a mute button, is comfortable for long conversations, quick to put on and good sending and receiving sound quality. I have not found the volume controls to be useful because I just leave them turned up and would still like more receiving volume when talking to some soft speakers. I use them typically several times per day but am on my third set as the last two each lasted 3 years. I'm not complaining at the price and given the bother of finding something that works well. That is why I give it 4/5. I believe it helps to loop the cord around the phone's belt clip and around the mute switch dongle's clip to act as strain reliefs to make the cable last longer. I've Been Using These Headsets for Years
These usually last just under a year (not sure why they burn out, but they do.) Still, i keep reordering them because they are incredibly comfortable. Has all the features I was looking for, but the earpiece doesn't have as much volume as my previous Plantronics model I had. I use it for calling on Skype through my computer so I really have to crank up the volume to hear. Works OK but noisy
It's inexpensive, and functional - the microphone is well placed and adjustable, and the headphones are fine. In that, it's much better than some of the competition. However, it suffers from electronic noise whenever the headphones are near the actual telephone. Love this headset!
I've been using this product for several years now. They tend to wear out around the plug in due to catching the cord or dropping the phone. I use a rubber band around the phone to prevent that.
