Great having a cordless heat gun. I use it for shrinkwrapping food container lids. What I don't like is nit having more directed air. Need an adapter on the outlet to more direct and increase the airflow so I don't have to get the gun so close. It makes consistency and not melting the shrink wrap difficult. I would bet this is same for heat shrinking wires or other uses as well. Uses battery very fast this way. More directed arifliw would refuse batter use as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can put on the heat
These are not as fast as a corded model yet, but are not that far behind. The fact that you do not need a cord makes these a very safe tool to use, being no one trips on the cords. In the field they really stand out. I work in a lot of areas with no power to be found, so you ether make the power or go cordless. Chordless heat gun: Worth buying, value for money and jobs done perfect
M18 Milwaukee Heat Gun is an excellent innovative product for daily call-out work. It's a must tool for those who do cabling work on the road where a cable is not an option. It works perfect as for me. Althought someone commented earlier as "is not powerfull", I'll say is powerful in its potential value (18V not 110V or 220V). It give very high heat; heat shrinking done in 10 seconds. One does not require more than this heat, unless his/her intension is to do barbaque with it. Beautiful in appearance; comfortable in holding and easy feeling in action. With 9.0Ah battery I feel heavy, while with 2.0Ah battery feel unsafe to keep it upright; it might tipover and damage the skin (gun skin). 9.0Ah battery keeps the gun upright perfectly while not in use. Safety grille is a real innovative thinking in place. On the other hand accidental switch-on safety lock is little tricky, unlike safety locks on other milwaukee tools. I love the new chordless M18 heat gun. My 2 heatguns became obsolate now. Overall, value for money. Love its portability. Convenient / some limitations
The Milwaukee M18 Heat Gun heats quickly and the cordless feature makes it easy to use away from a outlet. It does not get as hot as my corded heat gun, nor does it allow the trigger to be latched in the on position. Heat thats not over baring/just safe
Better than I expected, its just right for using heat shrink under a dash of the Hot Rod. I have used my 120V Master Appliance heat gun under the dash and it can be scary around other wires as you can imagine. A lot of heat and force. This Milwaukee heat gun is just right for myself, hot enough to heat and shrink tubing and burn your hand but smaller concentrated area and safer around other wires. Don't expect the heat and force as a 120v. heat gun this gets the job done at a safer pace. you don't want to burn the wires around the one your working on. This tool is a keeper for me.
