Diddy Kong for the Nintendo 64 is a racing game with a bit of an adventure plot. You take control of one of eight characters for each race with the goal of eventually beating the evil Wizpig. There are lots of similar elements to Mario Kart, such as racing small cars, speed boosts, obstacles on the courses, and items to collect. You also have access to a hovercraft and airplane, both of which have their own benefits on different courses. Players can collect red balloons to get missiles, blue balloons for a speed boost, yellow balloons to shield against attacks, and green balloons for traps to drop behind the car.

    Great game, tons of fun

    If you like Mario Kart 64 then you’ll also enjoy Diddy Kong Racing (DKR). DKR has many of the same elements that make Mario kart fun: great tracks, weapons, a large selection of characters and great music. DKR also has unique aspects to it as well such as being able to choose from different vehicles like hovercrafts and airplanes and it has a few secret characters you can unlock which makes exploring the game a lot of fun. DKR also has boss battles which was new to racing games but adds a new dynamic to the games that was a lot of fun to play. If you’re looking for a fun game for the N64 look no further

    Disappointed

    Took me 20 times to get the game to work, by taking it out and putting it back in numerous times before it finally worked. And it sound likes a piece of plastic is bouncing around in the cartridge. For awhile I thought it wasn’t gonna work.

    Nintendo 64 games rule

    I originally had been given a N64 from my uncle when I was 9-10 years old, and we had almost every game there was for that system. Someone stole it from my little brother and I when we were teenagers, and I finally bought another game system not long ago, this was always one of my favorite games to play on it, and now I've shown my little brother and sister the joy of playing this game system.

    When I first got the game it froze a couple times shortly after the game started. After a cleaning it seemed to be better. Shipped a few days after I ordered and didn’t take long to arrive.

    Fantastic memories...

    I played this game to death in the late 90s when it was cutting edge. Graphics are dated (although amazing in 1998) but perfect for nostalgia. Gameplay still as challenging as ever! Cartridge arrived and works perfectly.
