The other side of the coin.

Excellent and compelling book. The highs and very deep lows show how hard life can be for everybody. Unbelievable patience along with strong character shown so many times throughout Lady Glenconners life. So many people would have cracked under the strain. I now see Princess Margaret in a different light as Lady Glenconner new her as an early childhood friend through to her death. Quite insightful on so many fronts. Well worth reading !

  • Anne Glenconnor has an easy, readable style.

I found this a surprisingly enjoyable read. It’s a very relatable insight into life in the upper echelons of society made very real by her admirable “ just get on with it” approach to whatever life threw at her.

  • uplifting , and unforgettable.

very upliffing novel. full of admiration for this lady, who had an amazing life but also a very sad one. having lost my only son i could identify with her. on very sad days i would read it all over again. also i was never a princess margaret fan but i feel as though i know her now and she came across as just like everyone else and just wanted to be happy and loved. would love the chance to meet this wonderful ,inspiring woman.
