George Lester (Jerry Lewis), an American in England, schemes to get-rich-quick by renting out his English wife's ancestral manor as a discotheque. When he has to pay off the damage done to the manor, he gets involved with his friend, Willy Homer (Terry-Thomas), in a plan to sell stolen plans for an electronic oil drill to the Arabs. When he gets to Lisbon with the plans, however, he finds that they are phony. George then decides to stop looking for fast money...but not before trying one more elaborate scheme.
