Don't Underestimate the Realistic Optimus Speaker Series
I've owned several pairs of various models of these speakers including the PRO X7. They all share two things in common - the build quality is second to none and sound quality crisp and clear. PROs: The cabinets are cast aluminum and will stand up to most environments. More importantly, they are a sealed housing with a small port in the rear. This platform combines to push out clear crisp sound that can't be matched by micro speakers available today. They are rated at 100 watts so are compatible with most applications. I have mine hooked to a SONY 100 watt receiver. CONS: Theses are two way speakers. The bass is not there like you would find it on a larger speaker. That said, once you hook them up, you'll probably forget what I just wrote in a few minutes because the crisp high and mid-range sound is so good. Crank it up!

solid little jewels!
OK...short and to the point... The Realistic/Optimus Minimus/Pro 7's are THE quintessential mini-speaker. Everyone could/can afford a pair. They are solid as a rock. and they sound good mainly by not trying too hard. There is much virtue simply in small size and in simplicity of design, when talking mini speakers...or loudspeakers in general for that matter, and the Optimus Pro 7's from Radio Shack embodied that ethos like few other speakers.
