    AFCIs are life savers

These are life savers people complaining need to check their wiring Gave a couple to my son he installed one called me to tell me it was no good kept tripping, I went to his house and we found a charred. 12-2 nm cable with a nail in it breaker wouldn't trip not enough current but burning the wood stud, I wouldn't have a house with out AFCI s in the entire house, any one that takes them out and replaces with a standard breaker. is a fool.

  • you have to have it in a new construction to comply with code, what choice do I have, I don't recommend it, i rather use a $3 good Homeline breaker

but I have to spend $35 instead per breaker to pass the inspection. this breakers trip prematurely, false trip and don't really give us more safety, but hey, you have no choice. also there is ONLY one brand you can buy if you use Square D load center.

  • Square D Home Line

These are expensive but necessary. Code insists that these type of breakers be used in residential circuits so if you want to do things right the first time Square D is the way to go. I've used a few other manufacturers in the past and for new applications especially Square D products seem to have the best quality and bang for the buck.

  • Nice product.

The breaker fit and works well. This was my first encounter with a homeline system. It was not available locally, and I do not see any reasonable explanation as to why these are not more standard in design, but they do the job I suppose. This style is needed for a homeline breaker box as it's the only breaker style that fits homeline breaker boxes.

  • These work great and have not experienced any false tripping. Great for added protection in all homes.
