Typical of US railroad tank cars used to deliver oil to east coast, supplying Lend-Lease agreements, and fuel US Army Air Forces B-17/B24 bomber squadrons in England. US oil was shifted to pipeline delivery after construction of "Big Inch" pipeline from Texas to New Jersey in 1943. This Lionel tank car models a significant part of US WWII Victory!
