      The skinny

So the product certainly works but seems a little pricey considering what is costs to make it. If it completely illuminated any and all 60cycle hum or other noise then maybe it would be worth the cost but it doesn’t have a 100% track record on getting rid of dirty power. Some things it works and not 100% on others.

    • WHEN ALL OTHERS FAIL - THIS IS THE ONE

I play keyboards. Many times I use Rack-mount synthesizers. If you know anything about them, rack synths all seem to fight with each other when it comes to GROUNDS, especially when you put them into a rack case together. I've tried isolating them a few inches apart, sacrificing rack space. I've tried isolating which one is the humm culprit and running it through a 1/4 inch anti hum unit etc. Sometimes no matter what you try it doesn't work. There are 2 ways this can work. First off, when you're on stage, to avoid hum, there should be 1 source that everyone taps into from the SAME circuit. And even then... If your gig location is using those old DIMMER incandescent-type switches you'll still get hum! In this case, place this unit on the plug supplying your main power source from the wall ...

    • Hum Killer

I have a new Tascam DP -03SD and new set of KRK Rocket 5's and when I turned everything on,I noticed that there was a humming noise coming from my monitors.I am using the basic Red and White RCA cables you get anywhere. I found the Hum X and bought Two, one for each speaker because they are power speakers that need to be plugged in. Okay last night I set up my studio only this time I plugged in the Hum X on each one,and the humming noise is gone! I will get a set of Mogami RCA cables and that should make it dead quiet. I definitely recommend this product it is incredible.

    • This solved my hum ground loop issues! Amazing adapter!

Amazing product! I live in an old house that dates back 100+ years. I'm quite sure that the electrical system here is void of proper three-plug grounding per newer code regulations. For years I have dealt with annoying buzzing noises through my PC system and ultimately circulated through my studio monitors. The noises even came through my speakers when I moved around my mouse cursor. It was time to give something a try! Reading plenty of positive reviews on this item, I went on a whim and took the $80 chance. Upon arrival, I was very skeptical that this would actually solve the matter. What made my fears even worse was the fact that I spent $80 on a product that was about 2" in size. I plugged this adapter into my wall, then plugged my PC into it. I fired up my PC...to my surprise, there ...

    • Works like a charm!

I have had a ground loop hum in one of my amplifiers for years. I tried and tried unsuccessfully to localize the hum and eliminate it but nothing worked. Nothing until I got the Ebtech Hum X Plug. Now the hum is completely gone and I have the safety of knowing that this device eliminates the hum correctly not just using a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter which can be dangerous for equipment. I am a happy camper.
