Vortex, noisy but works well
I have two Vortex fans, they are noisy,but pulls the air in. One fan works very well and the other not to well. The fan blades rub on the screen and was very annoying , had to leave the screen off. One vortex, that is giving me problems may be an older unit. The boxes were different in color and the pictures on the box for display were slightly different as well. The first unit work like a champ. Both vortex fans blows allot or air in, so if the noise does not bother you, there great to have. Installing was not bad,you will need a helper while wiring them up, one fan had to run wires to it, so I ran it off the roof light next to the vent. This product blows more hot air than my exmother in law..
The first one I bought went in just fine,this one had to modify so I could use the crank. Now they are loud so don't try to sleep with them on.Now they claim to push 300% out the vent I own two.Now thinking I should buy one more and push 900% air out of that tin can. Nothing will be safe walking by without getting sucked into the windows. To tell you the truth they are ok but over rated. We will see how long they will last.Over priced,YES ..But hey its your choice to buy one or more of these. Not what I thought I ordered
I was looking for a multi speed, reversible fan to replace my kitchen unit, that just died. I got lost looking apparently & ended up ordering a single speed replacement. Instead of returning it, Hubby replaced the non-working bathroom fan, with relative ease & speed. For the most part it did just snap in after wiring it. Nice upgrade
I upgraded the little stock bathroom fan in my travel trailer. This fan moves some air! This was the second such fan I installed. The first lasted 1.5 seasons. Easy install
This fan installed very easily (if the trailer manufacturer had cut the vent opening evenly). My only complaint is the directions could be a tiny bit clearer, pertaining to the parts. Vortex I Fan fan
This will be my second Vortex I fan. Replaced the small bath fan with this and installed a nice PWM speed control that cost less than $10 to have a variable speed fan that will blow the other more expensive fans away. These are brush motors so if you have noise like clicking it may be the brushes. I’m replacing a worn out motor with this new one. Will clean and put new brushes in the old fan for a spare. With the PWM controller you can slow the fan down to just feel the air come under the door which is great for winter operation when taking a shower, less drafty feeling when getting out.
