Classic feminine scent
How can anyone complain about Este Lauder Youth Dew. For over 20 years, this has been a fave of mine. My aunt and mom used to wear it and they always received compliments. When I started wearing it, I received compliments. A little spritz will last forever. No need to drown in it. So glad I found at a reasonable price. Youth Dew Fragrance has Changed
Youth Dew by Estee Lauder has been around for a long time, at least 60 years. The original fragrance was a warm floral fragrance with a woodsy base note. It was a complex fragrance that lingered in the air and made you smile when you caught a whiff of it from a woman passing by. It was a unique fragrance like no other. Much to my disappointment, what was in this bottle bore no resemblance to the original Youth Dew fragrance I remember from decades ago. The packaging is the same but the fragrance bares no resemblance to the original Youth Dew. As a matter of fact it reminded me of bug spray. Yes it was that awful. I wondered if perhaps I had gotten a bad batch so I went to Macy's to take a whiff and it was the same awful smell, just like the smell in my bottle. So buyer beware, if you desire the vintage Youth Dew fragrance of decades ago, then purchase a bottle described as Vintage Youth Dew. Classic Perfume of Generations!
There is no question this is one perfume that transcends all generations in fragrance that no other scent can ever match. Just a couple of drops around the ears, neck and wrists, and it stays with you all day. The scent even seeps into the very fabric of an outfit and pretty much stays there. Memorable Fragrance men LOVE it.
I was given this perfume when I graduated 1966 wore it throughout my twenties and thirties. Haven't worn it since. I have never found anything that compared with the scent of Youth Dew since so I went searching for it again. I had men when I wore it back in my "Youth" comment about it and they actually knew it was Estee Lauder Youth Dew, it was that recognizable.....it is a man pleaser for sure. Youth Dew: Revolution In A Bottle!
This perfume reminds me of Steampunk Art Movement where the vintage meets the modern society. I like it so much that I even created a painting honoring it. This perfume is intense, woodsy and long lasting. A little goes a long way. I like the fact that it is a classic and affordable not to mention that it has powder, deodorant and luxurious body cream to go along with it. So many memories
I purchased this for my grandmother. I found an old empty bottle of Youth Dew in one of her drawers. It was a gift from my grandfather many years ago. While she normally does not wear perfume the smell of it brought back so many memories. I clicked "yes" to all the questions but don't really know how long the scent last but she keeps it on her dresser next to his photo. It smells pretty & she loves it.
