    PVi100 - The best vocal mic for musicians on a budget

    The bulk of my experiences with microphones of this nature has been with more expensive models. The SM58 comes to mind as a mic I have seen/used countless times. And you know what, I quite honestly don't know why I spent hundreds of dollars on 5 or 6 mics when something this good is made at such a low price. The PVi100 is excellent with noise cancelling; you can guarantee the only thing being picked up by this mic is whatever's within centimeters of it. There is only one thing I could see as a downside: it's not quite as high output as your SM58, but this frankly won't matter in most venues or with most competent mixers/amps. I'd say this is a must-buy for any vocalist with limited funds to spend on their rig.

    good buy!

    Produces good clear sound. I think it has the edge on the SM58 at a much lower price. I've been performing for over 50 years and I'm happy with it. I also play bass, and I use the mike in a boom stand. We'll just have to see how the endurance is over a period of time.

    Peavey mic.

    It's an excellent microphone, but you have to turn the treble and the mid-range all the way up for it to be crisp and clear. You have to eat you the bass knob down a bit as well... as a male singer, I can use the microphone, but it's geared more towards a woman's voice. It's an excellent Mike though, with very booming sound to it...

    I've had many different brands of microphone over the years. This Peavey mic is better than most. I would even say it is equal to or better than the Shure sm58 I have used for years. Awesome product ! Don't be afraid to give it a try , you will be happy with it.

    Great mic

    This is a high quality mic for the price. Strong signal even from 6-8" away. I use it for vocals, instruments, drums, whatever. I used it on stage in a noisy environment (dance venue) and I could not tell the difference between these and my SM58s, maybe in a concert setting you would be able to tell but it's really not a big difference. The clip is tiny and I wasn't sure if the mic would even fit into it, but once I got it in it seems to hold the mic securely with no issues.
