It's a made in China product as opposed to the original made in Thailand. This may not be a problem just an observation. Only thing its noisier and not smooth when you turn on the camera and the lens extends or when the lens zooms its also noisy and not smooth. Lens retracting is smooth and silent. The few test photos look good. Not sure if it needs to be returned and replaced for the price maybe it's expected.
