    The White Queen is Outstanding!

    Color me a sucker for Pre-20th Century historical biographical mostly novels made into movie series by PBS/BBC as they are mostly just something you can not put down episode after episode. The White Queen is particularly entertaining on a level of quality with the series Reign of the same genre. The acting and production are incredibly beautiful as well as the garments of the period. In short, this is a wonderfully entertaining series you will not soon forget.

    One of the best historic dramas on TV.

    Anyone that has a predilection for historical romance will probably LOVE this, even though that's not really what The White Queen is about. Based on actual historic events which are so much more bizarre, and in this case Byzantine, than fiction! All told from the women's point of view. So, a fantastic plot is ready made from history and the novel, the characters developed believably, the writing, acting, costumes and locations are all superb. Sometimes the action scenes are a little rough but that's really not the focus here. Not many TV series come close to The White Queen, easily in the top 5. I appreciate that the writers, directors and producers respect the source material as well as audiences intelligence!

The tempestuous marriage between Elizabeth of York and King Henry VII marking the end of the war of roses. If you are interested in this time period you will love this move.

    The White Queen - great film

    Good price. I believe this is the show that really helped Rebecca Ferguson become a big star. All the actors in this DVD series are wonderful. And it is a pretty decent accounting of European history as well.

    Glad I got it! Nice Production!

    I wasn't sure if I wanted to add yet another movie on the life of Henry VII and the War of the Roses to my library, but I'm glad I elected to get it. It is a nice balance of historical facts and dramatic surmises. I'd recommend it for anyone interested in this period and Kings Henry VII and VIII. I don't think you'll find it disappointing either.
