      More adaptable than the old ALICE cover

      Great canteen cover, more adaptable than the older ones with ALICE clips, though you have to open the flap to take a drink from it (you didn't have to do that back in the ALICE era). Seems durable, and has netting on the bottom, so if water spills inside the pouch, it drains. Also works with my Nalgene canteen shaped bottles. Bought these because I had some US GI type canteens I'd occasionally used for hiking (I"m more prone to disposable or regular round Nalgene bottles now, carried in Condor brand pouches), but wanted a MOLLE capable pouch when I took the military shaped canteens along. I didn't want to run ALICE cliips on my backpack's MOLLE bands, or on the leather belt I typically wear. The quality here is excellent.       Good Quality. Tight fit.

      The materials and build quality are great. But a Nalgene Oasis canteen fits very tightly through the elastic top. Haven’t tried a canteen cup yet. But I sure it will be hard to get it in or out of the pouch. Hopefully, with use, it will loosen up. Overall very happy with it.
