Assemble a band, brick by colorful brick, in this family friendly version of Harmonix Music's popular rhythm series. Featuring the same level of customization and whimsical humor found in previous LEGO video games, LEGO Rock Band lets you create your own band members, roadies, and even managers from a variety of individual parts. Completing songs and rock power challenges earn you studs that can be used to unlock additional venues, characters, instruments, vehicles, and items for your personal "rock den." Challenges involve achieving such offbeat feats as summoning storms, demolishing skyscrapers, and defeating a giant octopus with the power of music. <br><br>As with earlier entries in the Rock Band series, gameplay involves using supported guitar, microphone, and/or drum peripherals to rhythmically follow a series of cascading, color-coordinated notes. A total of 45 songs are included on the disc, all performed by the original artists. Tracks include "Crocodile Rock," "Ghostbusters," "Summer of 69," "So What," "I Want You Back," "Free Fallin," and more. Owners can also download other songs designed for the Rock Band series as well as export the LEGO Rock Band track list to Rock Band 2 for use in all game modes.

    Fun to play, good for beginners.

    Exactly what I'll need to get my non-rhythm-gaming friend into the genre. The beginner difficulty will be perfect for them to learn the timing when hitting notes. The setlist in game is great, with songs easily recognizable (to me) from movies like Shrek and Cars, and other games like Thrillville. I do believe this could be the key to get friends not into Rhythm games, but REALLY into Lego, to give them a go. Will follow up on that statement after the attempt.

    LEGO Rock Band, An Interesting Twist!

    I love Rock Band and Rock Band 2. I wasn't sure what to expect on Lego Rock Band. We have a Rock Band competition once a year and work in which everyone really gets into. I admit, I am not a huge lego fan but I did like some improvements made on the game. The graphics were ok, there are mini rock characters dressed into legos which is wierd. Some of the background is lego style. The song list is pretty good with a variety of songs. There is now a super easy mode in which you can pretty much play even if you such, and not get boooed out! This would be a fun game to play as a family in which it is more children orientated. Overall a recommended buy!

    Fantastic Family Fun!

    LEGO Rock Band is just like Rock Band, with two awesome exceptions: 1. Everything's LEGO 2. When set to Super Easy, young kids don't get kicked out of the game or booed for missing notes. This makes it WAY more fun for my 3 year old. Teenagers and adults enjoy it, too - the song selection is diverse and has some great options!
