The superb sonic quality of the Planar6 is well known. This item was listed as open box, used for store demo with less than 5 hrs playing time. I was also assured through email that it is in like new condition. I have no reason to doubt that other than a small scratch on the plexiglass cover.
Overall very happy with purchase. Highly recommended seller and turntable.

False advertising! New item sold as open box!
Seriously - the box and inside item contents seemed unopened from its original packaging (the only issue I saw was a bent prong on the connection wire that I straightened by hand). The price was extremely reasonable (the seller worked on the pricing with me) and the shipping was free for such a heavy item.
Overall a five star experience. Absolutely recommended.
