This was Panasonic's top of the line 2012/2013 Blu-ray player. Lots of inputs and outputs for a wide variety of connections, easy wi-fi connection, logical and intuitive interface in the menu systems. No problem playing any Blu-ray or DVD. Picture is as good as you can get with a 1080p display. Chassis is heavy, wide and deep for a Blu-ray player, which makes it easier and insert in multiple component systems (like mine). Highly recommended if you can get your hands on one--but you will pay a much higher price for a fully functioning, pristine unit--but it would be worth it!This was Panasonic's top of the line 2012/2013 Blu-ray player. Very good player - horrible heinous unusable remote
This is a very good player, but the remote it came with was horrible. The remote has a touch pad that is hard to use and very often does the wrong thing. The word heinous and unusable come to mind when describing the remote control. Various reviews on the Internet agree with my assessment here. Base on another review, I eventually bought the remote for the DMP-BDT220 which is simpler and works much better. On the other hand, the sound quality (and decoding) is great and the built in wifi works well.This is a very good player, but the remote it came with was horrible. The remote has a touch pad that is hard to use and very often does the wrong thing. The word heinous and unusable come to mind when describing the remote control. Various reviews on the Internet agree with my assessment here. Base on another review, I eventually bought the remote for the DMP-BDT220 which is simpler and works much better. Amazing image quality and even better audio quality. Love the ability to adjust 3D depth and so on, which is not so common in other players. Very sleek design and the remote is actually much easier to use than major online reviews give it credit for. I was originally going to purchase a more traditional remote to use instead but the touch remote works great and always recognizes touch. Nice blu-ray player...
I finally gave up on my old laser disc/cd/DVD player and did some research to settle on finding this brand of Panasonic. They weren't that easy to find, which I thought was a good thing. That likely means people are hanging on to them. The one I got from this seller has been great - not one issue at all.
