    great compilation

    Donovan is a singular talent and once he worked through the early Dylan comparisons, he found his own groove with great songs with gentle melodies, jazzy phrasing, stoner vibes and great lyrics. He's a singular artist and in his prime, he hardly every wrote any thing that was not great to superb. This is an awesome and mostly comprehensive collection of his EMI/Epic stuff, so it is a little light on his early troubadour stuff, but a great collection, nonetheless. And a great value too.
