About this product

Product Information

This shocker from producer-director William Castle is a delightfully original blend of 1960s teenage bobby-soxer giggles and masculine, murderous mayhem. Andi Garett and Sarah Lane star as two young girls whose evening of prank phone calls goes awry when they say the words of the film's title to a homicidal maniac (John Ireland) who has just murdered his wife. With their parents miles away and the girls alone in a big, remote farmhouse, the stage is set for some creepy suspense as the killer comes a-calling. The plot thickens when the girls find themselves sexually attracted to the brooding, mature killer. This distant ancestor to films such as HALLOWEEN and the whole teen slasher genre is actually pretty mild by today's standards, with a strangely lighthearted music score and GIDGET-style antics leavening much of the tension. It's still pretty nerve-wracking, though, and contains a shockingly bloody shower scene that pays jet black comic homage to PSYCHO. Joan Crawford shows up and lends some scenery-chewing class to the proceedings as the killer's love-starved, blackmailing neighbor.

  • an old "scary" movie on VHS

I saw this movie on TV when I was a teenager back when there were only three channels. I remembered it as being a really good scary movie, especially if you were a teenage babysitter. It made an impression on me because 35 years later I was still hoping to find a copy at a garage sale. I was glad to find it here, but I think I paid too much for an old memory. I couldn't wait to watch the movie, and after it was over, I found myself thinking that I didn't remember it being that...slow. I think we are just used to all the amazing things they do with films nowadays that this seemed a bit flat. But I will keep it in my library and watch it on dark stormy summer evenings with all the lights out for effect, and I will introduce it to my nieces and nephews when they are the appropriate ...

  • I saw what you did and I know who you are

This is a great old vintage movie classic! The picture is in black and white, and the sounds effects are really suspenseful! If you haven't seen this one, you'll really enjoy it! This movie is hard to find and is currently out of production, so if you can get a copy, its worth it! The story is about two teenage girls who find themselves in a lot of trouble after making prank phone calls. The tables turn when they call the wrong person! So get some friends together with some popcorn and enjoy this cool old movie!

  • I saw what you did and I know who you are!

I bought this movie because my children used to watch it with me and they would get scared and hide behind me. It brings back very good memories. I have been looking a long time for this movie. I love the great condition it is in. I am very happy that I bought it!

  • Excellent throw back to the non-SFX age!

This was a favorite of my mom's and has become a favorite of mine. Great story line that draws you in and makes you believe that this could in fact happen to you. Beyond the flick, Joan Crawford and her crazy eyebrows are scary enough!

  • Memories

I like the fact that this movie would bring back old memories from when my brother and I were kids. This movie really scared us. The only bad thing was that the fact movies have come along way from when we were kids so it was no big deal for my children who are in their twenties. But I still enjoyed it. And I know my brother will appreciate it when he gets to watch it.
