Blown internal fuse
Upon receiving and installing module, I was presented with an error code of “51,” indicating a blown fuse. Upon disassembling the unit, and testing the two internal fuses, I found that one was indeed blown. Thankfully, the fuse from my broken module in the car was not blown. Upon tearing into both modules and unsoldering the fuse from the module from my car and then resoldering it into the replacement module I was able to get it to work without any error codes. Kind of disapointing for a unit that so believed would be functional.
