    Great taste

    I bought this to add to my stock because of the long shelf life. I used it in my 15 bean soup and it was great. I also followed the directions and made a vegetable stew that was very tasty. I highly recommend this product

    Suprisingly good.

    Really good food. Smell lets you know you've got something good as soon as you break the seal with a can opener. I added a tad of hot pepper, a teaspoon of oil, a fillet of fish, country ham, and once a hamburger patty chopped up. This is a REALLY GOOD product. As good as one could expect. Can't say enough.

    Disappointing unpleasant flavor

    This is not my idea of a traditional vegetable stew base, most stew bases are primarily large chunks of potato and carrot and other veggies. This product is primarily finely diced cabbage and bell pepper with other even more finely diced veggies, this is a soup base, not a stew base. Very unpleasant flavor, literally stomach turning combo of cabbage and bell pepper, could not salvage this base no matter what was added. to make matters worse, Ebay sellers charge more than double what local retailers in my area sell the same item for. The only upside is the quality packaging by Augason farms.
