One of my all time favorite tv shows
I love the science, I love the actors. One of my all time favorite tv shows. very uncommon. They take something that we all do every day, teach us more about it in an entertaining way. What is not to like???? They teach us how to handle something we all fear. Being lied to and ripped off. and how to spot it.

If you are a fan of Tim Roth you will love this series! He is such a dyamic personality and the series is well suited to his many abilities as an actor. The rest of the cast is extremely competant and likeable so it is never a dull moment. With the benefit of the pilot you can see that this is a true science with a real man is behind it. Once you here him talk in the special features section you realize how intelligent and worthwhile this show is. It really takes the authentic research one step further by illustrating visually exactly the science by watching it on the screen. The subject matter is much more readily understood through this medium as a teaching method for this particular science which is body language where as a book is at a disadvantage simply by its nature. Secondly, ... If you are a fan of Tim Roth you will love this series! He is such a dyamic personality and the series is well suited to his many abilities as an actor. Lie To Me!
I don't watch much television, as I live in the country and only get three channels. When I travel, I flip through stations to see what might be interesting. I saw one episode of "Lie to Me" a few months ago and it really stuck with me. It's interesting, engaging and funny. I love that they use current celebrity photos to demonstrate "microexpressions" throughout, and the plot lines keep twisting enough to make them very enjoyable. If this company were hiring, I'd get on board there! It's a great concept, and I do hope they produce more and more so that I can learn more about the topic. Lie to Me Season 1 (DVD)
FOX has been very smart lately; Lie to Me, along with Dollhouse, has been one of the best shows on TV now. It's new, and different, and much more thought provoking. The characters of this show are very original, and I like them; Tim Roth does an amazing job portraying Dr.Lightman, and it brings a new light to the show. I'm very impressed with the many different plots and crimes, and there are twists and turns that make it so different from CSI and other crime/mystery shows. Its modern, and much more personal, because the events occur often, and most of the time telling a lie from the truth is the only way to get people justice.FOX has been very smart lately; Lie to Me, along with Dollhouse, has been one of the best shows on TV now. TIM ROTH ROCKS
I love this show! I can watch it over and over and see something new every time. The first thing I saw Tim Roth in, he was the ultimate bad guy...Archibald, in Rob Roy. When I realized how much I hated Archibald, I realized what a great actor Tim is. He does not disappoint in Lie To Me. The Gillian Foster character is too stiff and "squeeky clean" for this line of work. When I watch shows like this, I just want to watch shows like this. I'm not real big on 'back-stories,' so the daughter part could be more of a mention than an actual person. I hope this plays for many seasons.I love this show!
