    Intermittent signal

    Even with a brand new battery and soaking the heck out of the strap, the heartrate signal doesn't kick in until 20 minutes into my workout. I must touch the watch to the transmitter in order to get that to happen, so I spend the whole first half of the workout trying to get the thing going, and my stats are all completely skewed now.

    More durable than new straps

    This type of strap works with Polar and Garmin sensors. It is soft and comfortable and in my experience more durable than the new straps. Compared to the new Polar soft strap which works reliably just with moisture from your sweat, you need to moisten the pads to get a consistent result with this type of strap.

    Replaced old H1 Polar sensor and strap with the exact model -- Works like a charm.

    Replaced my old Polar Heart Rate Sensor and strap with this exact model. Old strap failed to capture heart rate. Works well, just like old one and communicates with the Polar watch I had with the previous H1. Turns out my old H1 sensor was fine, just the strap went bad. So, if I buy another strap, I'll have two working H1 monitors, the new one and the old one as a backup. I like this model, as the new models don't have the Polar watch/strap combo. I need to see heart rate in real time when I exercise and this fills the bill.
