Paint is bright shiny and solid. Stamped face and tattoos are complete and clear. Yellow stamped label and KFS copyright intact on back of body. JAYMAR "Made in U.S.A." stamp intact on bottom of foot. Some paint missing back of collar and cap. All joints work. Many JAYMAR wooden string toys have jointed legs (knee joints) and will not stand independently. This Popeye has single piece legs (no knee joint) and can be made to stand on his own with a little effort. All elastic strings and terminal eyelets are original. One leg string/eyelet may have been repaired/retied. This was my mother's when she was a child in the 1930s. It has been stored away for over 80 years. A popular collectible cartoon character from the 1930s rarely found in this good condition. Please see photos”
