    Great use of Cinemascope! Marilyn can sing and be strong. Tommy Retig grows up to his later role in TV "Lassie" series. Well-directed story. This is a western movie with family values, scares, and a satisfying ending. I loved it.

    Mitchum & Monroe on a wild River

    Robert Mitchum & Marilyn Monroe were quite good in this rather obscure film. She even sings & is actually pretty good. The film was shot in Canada on a beautiful but very wild river, & the scenery is gorgeous. The story takes place in the frontier days when the west was still quite rugged.

    Great western top three

    Great family role models mitchum is a real man heroic but in a quiet way. Monroe is sexy but motherly towards the boy. Now young people are gender neutral or reversed. Top ten movie expertly restored
