    Not his greatest story-telling effort, but the art was already fully-realized in this.

    Hegre was a great artist but not always a great story teller. He relied a lot on slapstick scenes. In this album, TINTIN IN AMERICA, he jumps from one little vignette to the next a bit randomly. His later production was more uniform, more coherent and mature. Give the one with the word Russia in the title a miss! Not only was he ignorant of world affairs, but the art is also dismal in that one.

    It was a bargain

    It was purchased for my grandson in the States because my son, who was a big Tin Tin fan when young, thought he would like to read it.I also thought he might find a European slant or attitude to the Native American interesting.
