You get what you pay for.
When I first saw these tiles advertised on here I thought they looked great. So I bought a tub of them; when they were delivered I could see they were not exactly as shown on eBay. My gripe is that nearly every tile's letter is noticeably off-center; only a handful were centered properly (the label on the tub suggests otherwise). The tiles themselves are physically OK, about what I expected. But if you want professional-looking quality, I recommend passing on this cheaply-made item.When I first saw these tiles advertised on here I thought they looked great. Tub of Letter Tiles
The tiles are great way of challenging a child to spell words, create words with short and long vowel sounds, and array of other activities that can be created in the quest to teach the child phonics. I don't like the fact that you have to figure that there are no lower case p tiles in this tub and you have to turn the lower care d tiles upside down to create a lower case p. I also do not like the fact that there is only one uppercase letter P. These letter tiles are perfect manipulatives for the kids I tutor who are struggling readers. I bought an embroidery thread case to keep them in, so they are alphabetized and ready to use. Great product! I use them for my students to spell words I dictate, and then switch them to new words by physically moving the letter tiles around.
