This game is really fun, even though it seems simple at first. It has tons of hidden strategies that the average player wouldn't figure out, plus there are lots of combos you can do with your cab, like the Crazy Dash or the Crazy Drift. There are 5 drivers, and each one's cab controls differently. Also, you can unlock a rickshaw that they can drive. The graphics were great for when it came out. The only downside to this game is that it gets old fast. There is no story mode, there is just an "Arcade" mode and an "Original" mode, both the exact same game, just different maps. To try to help the problem, Crazy Taxi has something called Crazy Box, where you do themed objectives one by one and when you complete a set you recieve an unlockable. This game is an absolute must for anyone with a Dreamcast, but also consider getting Crazy Taxi 2.Read full review
Pick up and drop off crazy cab riders for madd skrillaz. You're allowed to charge fare after your passenger has literally hung on by one hand. The gameplay is pretty good, just about as good as the arcade machine. You slow down when you crash which can be kinda discouraging for beginner players. The map is alright, not the best, but not the worst. It's really small compared to the map in other open world driving games.

When I bought this game I had the basic understanding that it was a fast paced game were you get people from point A to point B under a time limit. Little did I know that was all the game was. There is no story, no campaign mode, no multiplayer, nothing to achieve, and no tutorial. Driving is actually pretty slow and acceleration takes forever making it a stab to the flow of the game play every time you bump into something. The extra controls are confusing to use and not well explained anywhere throughout the game. One good thing about this game would have to be the short but good list of songs by The Offspring witch really brings you back to the early 2000s. This game could have been redeemable with something like a money, car upgrade system, multiplayer aspect, or SOMETHING, but everything you ever do on this game has no beneficial outcome or reward. it will always end in Game Over. If you are looking for a fun game to spend your time on, look elsewhere. There are many great games for Dreamcast. This game would be a good addition to a collection and not much more.Read full review
Crazy Taxi was originally a game that was produced for an arcade cabinet a year before and was an excellent quality game Back in 2000 when i heard that crazy taxi was going to be released on the dreamcast i was happy to see this game being released for the home consoles. This version didn't knock down the gameplay of this wild and crazy game that was release before. The gameplay behind this game is that you are a taxi driver and have to pick out customers and take them to their destination as quickly as posible before the timer runs out and keep picking up customers to rank up your score This may seem a little to simple but you will be jumping over buildings, driving down the wrong side of the street, jumping through parks and other things to get there as quickly as possible This Port of the original game also includes new modes which include a mini game mode called Crazy Box and a new map for new places to go to as well as the original arcade map. my only complaint with the game is that there is only 3 songs in the entire soundtrack for the courses they could have added more songs for this port, but didn't. Gameplay- 5 stars Music- 4 stars Graphics- 5 stars Controls- 5 stars over all 4.75 starsRead full review
About 2 weeks ago I bought this old but still great game craxy taxi. Boy did I get a kick out of this game. While it is a bit blast from the past the game has great graphics, and characters that make you wonder if they are sane to drive, but on the downside the game can only be played in few game modes. Such as play by arcade, 3, 5, 10 minutes or the crazy pyramid. In a sense it doesnt have a point of adventure in my particular case. But for those who love arcade style games in which you love playing the same thing over and over well then I highly recommend it.
