New design with detachable chamber is a poor quality product. Batteries in the new design drain quickly, and often turn off on their own unless the chamber is readjusted, and then they turn off anyway. Every time I see bait disappeared from the new design trap, and a dead mouse in the old design trap. Material in new design metal plate is cheaper. Company blames consumer for not cleaning the plate, but if plate is 100% clean, the product still doesn’t work. I wish the company hadn’t tried to use cheaper materials and bad design ideas, and stuck with the old version. Don’t buy!!!

Very well designed and built. I like the actual paper in hand instructions for me. I set it up as described and set it for the night hoping to get the mouse the cat brought in the other day. Next morning, bingo, the green light was flashing...... but no mouse and no peanut butter. It was my fault I think as I set the dab of peanut putter on the little bait tray. didn't have it in there pushed into place. will try again now. I think I'm going to get several more. THE BIG THING IS IT'S REUSABLE. I have two other ones that led you to believe they were reusable with some well and clever worded descriptions. But, are a one time use and $4 each.

Mice are not going in so I cannot tell if the thing works. It’s been a few weeks , I’ve changed places and bait. I did leave some bait near the entrance and that was apparently eaten. Now I have turned it off and am putting bait in it and leaving it to see if I can get them to get used to going in, then I will turn it on and zap them if it works. Will follow up with updates.

Catches mice, even the small ones that evade traps. Easy to operate but does use 4 AA batteries for every 5 or 6 mice caught... or maybe my batteries aren't the best quality. After each catch I wipe the electric chamber with alcohol to remove any residue and reload with fresh peanut butter. I am very satisfied with the machine.
