About this product

Product Information

Humans and half-bloods agree--Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a series fit for heroes Relive the adventure from the beginning with this boxed set of the first three books with glorious new cover art by John Rocco. The Lightning Thief Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can't seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. When his mom tells him the truth about where he came from, she takes him to the one place he'll be safe--Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp for demigods (on Long Island). There, Percy learns that the father he never knew is actually Poseidon, God of the Sea. Soon Percy finds himself caught up in a mystery that could lead to disastrous consequences. Together with his friends--a satyr and other the demigod daughter of Athena--Percy sets out on a quest to reach the gates of the Underworld (located in a recording studio in Hollywood) and prevent a catastrophic war between the gods. The Sea of Monsters After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly calm. But things don't stay quiet for long. Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders which protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner by the Cyclops Polyphemus on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters--the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia--only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new nameL: the Bermuda Triangle. Now Percy and his friends must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes by the end of the summer or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family--one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke... The Titan's Curse When Percy Jackson receives a distress call from his friend Grover, he immediately prepares for battle. He knows he'll need his powerful demigod allies, Annabeth and Thalia, at his side; his trusty broze sword Riptide; and... a ride from his mom. The demigods race to the rescue, to find that Grover has made an important discovery: two new powerful half-bloods whose parentage is unknown. But that's not all that awaits them. The Titan lord, Kronos, has set up his most devious trap yet, and the young heroes have unwittingly fallen prey. Hilarious and action-packed, this third adventure in the series finds Percy faced with his most dangerous challenge so far: the chilling prophecy of the Titan's curse.

Would gladly do business with this seller again. Shipping was a tad on the slower side but nothing too bad. Item exactly as described/pictured, including flaws. Fair prices as well.

    PJO Boxed Set

It was exactly like the picture. It was in great shape (specially for an item that’s so hard to find) and didn’t get damaged while being shipped. It didn’t really cost much. This item isn’t being made anymore and I don’t think it has been since 2014 so it was really perfect.

  • A More Accessible Harry Potter

We love these books! The common thread for most parents seems to be that their kids, who would otherwise while away the day playing video games, texting or playing on the computer, are racing through the adventures of this teenage demigod. The books are a bit of a simplified Harry Potter. Percy suffers from much of the same angst that Harry does in the earlier volumes. Finding his true self only leads to danger and the ultimate challenge of the imminently returning Kronos. Harry Potter readers will no doubt note the similarity of avoiding saying the name of the villain, the fact that he was doomed to Tartarus in multiple pieces that his minions are now reassembling and the dream link that gives Percy insight into Kronos' plans. Percy also has a female (Annabeth, daughter of Athena) ...

  • One of the best purchases I've made for my son.

My son asked me to buy him the The Lightening Thief. I decided to purchase the set instead. He is 11 years old and zipped through the first book. We went to the movie and he was disappointed in the movie. He talked about not wanting to read the next book because then the movie is not as good. I pointed out to him that he would've missed so much had he not read the book. He changed his mind and decided to read the second book. He did not want to put it down he said it was so good. As soon as he was finished with it, he started the third book! He's tried to get into other series before but this one was the homerun! He absolutely loved this set. Would strongly recommend it to anyone with a young son.

  • wonderful title

I bought this book for my 11 year old step son. Right now this series is real big with kids everyone in his class were fighting over the few copies in the libary and they had to wait awhile to get the books. So I decided to just buy his own set he just goes on and on about these books when he has free time he is reading instead of playing his game system. If your looking for A book for an older child then this would be a good set to get.

  • Great Adventure for All Ages

I decided to buy this book set when my 10 year old daughter had to read the first book for her school book club. She wouldnt stop reading it. When she was done with a chapter she would tell the whole family about it endlessly. She is now reading it for the 3rd time. Now that the set came today, she can finally move on to Percy's next big adventure in Mythology. Would highly recommend for the cant put it down reading.
