A quality monopod for a great price.
This monopod enabled me to do exactly I wanted it for, to use a slow shutter speed without blurring the photo. It's light weight and able to fit into my luggage with no problem. I got the 72" model and probably could have gotten the 48" model as I usually never extended it to it's full height. I really can't imagine when you'd ever need to use your camera at that height unless you're also well over 6' tall.This monopod enabled me to do exactly I wanted it for, to use a slow shutter speed without blurring the photo. A good, solid product at a reasonable price for the average consumer.
For the price, this is an excellent monopod. Average weight for an aluminum product of this type. You want ultralight, buy carbon fiber, but expect to pay a premium price. For the average person looking for a good all-around monopod, this does the trick. 3 sections open and lock easily. Good extension height. Rubber bottom so you won't mark up floors, but has a steel spike in bottom when you turn the rubber pad up. Foam handle is adequately comfortable. You can't beat that. You want the high end stuff...expect to pay the high end price for it. This is my second purchase of this monopod. Lost the first, so if buying again, must have liked it enough....For the price, this is an excellent monopod. Average weight for an aluminum product of this type. you get what you paid for..save your money.
First, i got excited since it was said to be heavy duty. It should be able to take the weight ofbmy 550d. The strap broke the first time i used it. Then i start to notice the height adjustment seems off. When you set the right height for shooting, it starts to slide down, making it lower than your eye sight. I guess you get what you paie for and was told by seller that allthe other same models are the same. Im going for a better stronger monopod the next time. I wont put my trust and that right shot on a pod with this quality. First time i was dissapointed on that brand.First, i got excited since it was said to be heavy duty. I lost my last monopod so I can only compare the Zeikos to that one as well as the reviews of others I was considering. If you've got a monopod it almost always ends up doubling up as a walking stick. The fact that the Zeikos extends to nearly 6 feet in 4 sections means that it is well reinforced as a walking stick. The ability to extend to 6' is a great feature in a monopod for situations in which the terrain is uneven. All things considered I would buy the same unit again.I lost my last monopod so I can only compare the Zeikos to that one as well as the reviews of others I was considering. Valuable camera accessory
light enough for hiking, backpacking. Serves well for steady camera support. Helps when doing photography and having to wait long times between available shots. Allows for raising camera to extra heights when using camera with remote shutter trigger. Has own carry case. Not for use as a hiking or walking stick.
