"This game is truly unreal!" Unreal Championship is one of my favorite games for Xbox.It is a first-person shooter. This game has you fighting enemy teams while trying to capture flags, defend bases, deliver bombs and best the other team in a deathmatch. Note: This game can also be played on Xbox Live, but I do not have Xbox Live so I will review it based on what I know about the game without Xbox Live. Gameplay: This game is extremely fast pased and exciting! The one player in this game is pretty good. You create a profile and your own team of elite competitors and then start a new campaign. This one-player campaign has you and your team going through different ladders of different kinds of tournaments, having you compete for a gold trophey. There are different ladders including Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Double Domination, Bombing Run, and one surprise ladder. In Team Deathmatch you go with your team and try to rack up more frags by killing the other team. In Capture the Flag, you try to capture the enemy flag while also defending your own. In Double Domination, there are 2 command posts. In order to score, your team must capture both and keep controling them for 10 seconds. In Bombing Run, you basically play Football with a bomb. You get the bomb and run from wherever you got it, to the enemy base where you drop it off for either 3 or 7 points. The 2-player is also great. You get to choose what kind of fight you want(Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, CTF, etc, etc) and you can play against 3 other people plus computers! Total score: 10 Sound: I personally love the sounds. They range from dark and eerie to competitive and hardcore to fast and low. A lot of them tend to sound the same after a while but I know that after first hearing a few, I was walking around humming them. I can still enjoy the music from memory after a week without playing! Total score: 9 Graphics: Another great part of this game. If you really look at the characters you can see they are well detailed and made. They look real and sound real...Except for maybe the Aliens :P Total score: 10 Replay Value: I got it the day it came out and I've been playing it ever since, which is atleast a couple of years... 10 Rent or Buy: BUY BUY BUY! This game is a must-have for all you FPS / Action gamers! There is no doubt in my mind that I would buy this and many other Unreal games to come! Total score: Buy Overall: While this game can be played on Xbox Live, I have never tried it but still love this game. It has a great replay value and many modes of gameplay to choose from and many weapons. This game has amazing sound and music as well as graphics. The one-player is a good way to start training your skills and two-player is great to hone them and show off to your friends...This game is a must buy! 10Read full review
Ok so everyone knows that unlike Unreal Championship 2, the original Unreal Championship is essentially a full port of the original version of Unreal Tournament 2003 for PC. Of course that means there will be many things missing, right? In this case no, the game plays almost identically with 2003 with the added benefit of aim assist while using the xbox controller. The controls are excellent and very customizable, as well as the majority of the game. It is in some ways altered from the original. Different menu music and layouts and there are maps added that fit better for up to 8 players than ones that were made for 12-16 in the PC version. Other than that, honestly everything in 2003 and more is on here. Characters have unique stats for their agility, accuracy, tactics, and max health in single player AND in multiplayer, something that the PC version does not feature. This however can be disabled via a mutator called competition mode so every player is on equal footing. For its time, the graphics and sound are on point. If you are playing original xbox games than I assume you like the level of detail in that generation, and this game was one of the first true winners of the entire sixth generation of consoles. Playing feels like you are fighting for first or worst in a sport more than playing a video game! This is the peak of first person shooters on consoles. If you have friends to play with this game is a lot funner but even going solo, the single player tournament has replayability as well as the multiplayer against bots. There are a few mutators not in the original game also that add to that. There was downloadable content for this game but I don't know if that is possible to acquire now. Anyone who has never played Unreal Championship or any Unreal Tournament games should definitely try this as it is very cheap to acquire now.Read full review

This is an excellent bit of quick action. Designed around its multiplayer experience, this shooter features fast respawns, obvious objectives, amusing dialogue, and more. It is an excellent party game for people who enjoy cartoonish gore, silly taunts, and easy-to-understand controls. I use it to unwind.

I found the initial single Player game play to be quite boring, simply battling it out with fresh meat to kill, left right and center. The actual game play how ever is quite good, giving you a third person perspective, which I don't ussually like, but the visualizations are nice, not on par with some of my favorite xbox games like Halo/Halo 2. But like most multiplayer xbox games, this is why and where Unreal Championship excels as one of the best Xbox games. There are a variety of multiplayer game modes, all of the match customization features every online game should have, and more. This one has downloadable content available too. Multiplayer gaming is what I like because your dealing with real people, which makes the game play that much better. So if you are in to Multiplayer games, this is a good choice, if you have no one to play with you can always play online (Xbox lIve)But as far as single play, forget it.Read full review
The first thing that you notice when you start playing is that there really is no plot. RPG fans, this game is a huge turn off for you. The weapons are limited, and their power can only be amplified if you choose a certain character. The game goes from very easy at 'Novice' to unbearably hard at the next difficulty level 'Skilled'. Killing other players, or bots as they are called, is entertaining, this seems to be the sole reason the game exists. Differrent game modes and maps give for little variety, but gets repetitive. Replayability value is very high for FPS fans because the players actually are challenging and gameplay differs from each sit-down.
