    Dell XPS 9550 design flaw

    The design of these models is faulty. The lithium batteries expand when they get hot and there is not sufficient clearance within the laptop to allow for the expansion. The track pad gets pushed up by the battery and malfunctions.

    Definitely the best laptop I've ever owned, and that is saying something.

    I've been working in IT for 20+ years now and this is easily the best laptop I've owned. Beautiful display, sleek form factor, decent battery life, great performance, and rugged build quality. Dell managed to fit a 15.6" display in a 14" laptop form-factor thanks to the incredibly thin bezel around the crisp 4K display. The only issue I've had with it is when it comes to maintaining it. The tiny screws on the base strip way too easily. If Dell would have used bigger screws with deeper threads (or Titanium screws) this could have been easily avoided. Otherwise, a truely magnificent piece of technology and I'll definitely be recommending the 9550 to family and friends in the future.
