    RC TugBoat Kit Mississippi River American Beauty Fiberglass Hull Tug

    I have one that I've built but it's not a Fiberglass Hull like they are say'n here... it's performed Hull and make the boat over all very light' , it's doesn't come with any hard wear' but I used 4" PVC for my Cort Nosell's... and used bolts to hook it up to the bottom of the hull... came out great when you have the boat out of the water it' won't hurt the prop's. A lot of the parts (wood ) is very easy to brake so like most of Dumas' boat's it's by far NOT for a Beginner to try. It looks great just sitting on the table top... mind I put Lights over the door ways' tween spot lights for the front' and lights inside' as well ...the price for this boat is good' and it looks as if every thing is with it as well to make the boat. have fun and take your time with it...

    Fun build

    The plywood is a little dodgy, however, prepped properly it is very workable. The hull is fiberglass with a gelcoat overlay which has to be removed before painting. It was fun to detail the model and you can make it fully r/c operational. The instructions are not step by step, board by board, but do guide as a general assembly sequence with . You still need to purchase the running hardware and the deck hardware. There are plenty of photos on the internet to google, because the American Beauty is still an active towboat under the ARTCO/ADM. banner. It’s the same boat that this model represents, just @ slightly different color scheme.

    All in all a nice model

    I am an experienced modeler, instructions are a little confusing, but Dumas Models are really good, and the Company is great if you have questions.
