Ordered 100 hooks but seller shortshipped by 51. The shortshipped hooks were sent quickly. I believe this was an honest mistake by seller and therefore still rate him a positive. My only other observation is that the hooks were sent in a plain plastic bag. They look fine, but I have no way to tell if the items are original from Mustad. It would be helpful to include packaging or invoice to show these hooks are genuine. I noticed that there were a few feedback that mentioned this also. Thank you

    torque factor vs diameter and type of drill bit

    When they tell you to use a 6 in auger bit maximum, and an 18v cordless drill minimum, that's exactly what they mean. I bought an 8 in fin-bore hand auger to use with my 18v ryobi lithium drill, after doing alot of review reading, I decided to try my strikemaster mora 6in auger bit first, just to be on the safe side. I had aproximately 1 2in of hard solid ice, I drilled 8 holes and was very impressed, so much torque. On my 8th hole, I snapped the body of the drill in half. The bit was sharp and really had a good bite, but the drill also did it's job except for the fact that it was a plastic body ,so really it doesn't make much difference what drill you use, 20,24,36 volt, the combination of cold weather and plastic sometimes doesn't mix,so really don't try to use a bigger auger bit than ...

    Fast & Easy

    I used this kit with a 20v lithium-ion drill, also 8in. auger with 7in. blades. Drilled 5in. ice in 5-8sec. I believe you could use 8in. blades. I've used gas augers before, noisy, weighty, and not this easy.

    Amazing product!

    This thing is amazing! Its light weight, fast, quiet and durable. With the right drill this thing drills 8" holes better than my gas auger. Just make sure it has 400lbs of torque or more. The only draw back is i wish the drill had a fast way to release from the plate. I use it for my anchors too and it takes to long (especially with gloves on) to unscrew and detach the drill from the rig. Always afraid of loosing a washer in the snow. I think i might rig something up myself for that, but all in all a very good product , very happy with it. My friends also liked it so much he bought one while we were still out on the ice lol!

    No more Gas

    My old gas ice auger died and was looking for an alternative to gas auger. This adapter plate works great with most high power battery powered drills and 6" to 8" auger bits. No more stinky gas and hard to start augers. Just be sure to use a high power brushless motor (preferably a 1/2 brushless hammer rated drill) with a large capacity battery 4 Amp Hours and you be able to drill holes as fast or faster than the a gas auger. Awesome product!

    Great product . Saves time. Paired with "New 8" Ice Auger Post Hole Digger Bit Shaft 3/4" Bit Drilling Blade Double Blade" and a "Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Brushless Hammer Drill Kit." We were able to drill 20 holes effortlessly with plenty of power to spare. Easy setup.
