This is a hilarious game made towards the end of the original NES line. Anyone who is lucky to get their hands on a complete set will not be sorry. This game will only go up in value. Whoever game find one of these complete is very lucky plus it's really funny the play. By today's politically correct standers this game we have never been made. Thank God for the 90s where people were more intelligent than people nowadays.

Caveman games was released in 1990, which was toward the end of the NES' life. A few true gems were released around this time (like Battletoads) and Caveman games is one of them. The graphics aren't the best, even for the time it was released. They're very simple and to the point. The sound is actually quite under par for an NES game from this time period. It does have a couple of catchy BG themes, but the sound effects are nothing to brag about. The content of this game is where the magic lies. Caveman Games is an Olympic-style challenge where up to 6 players compete in "Clubbing", "Fire Starting", "Mate Toss", and other prehistoric events. The attention to detail is outstanding, as far as the events are concerned. For instance, when you're trying to start a fire by rubbing sticks, and at the same time dodging club swings from your opponent who is angry that your pile of leaves is smoking and he's only succeeded in making himself dizzy by blowing too hard. Or when you toss your mate over 70 "foots" and she begins dancing in joy. Or when you underestimate your pole vault and accidentally land in the jaws of a hungry T-Rex, who swings you out of your clothing and into the ocean. This game is full of hilarious (and sometimes just plain cruel) options to help you win your events, and each new game is an adventure. The only real drawback I have found with this game is that adults seem to have more fun with it than kids do (and I think it's safe to assume that a Wii version isn't going to happen anytime soon, even though this game would be perfect for the wiimote and nunchuk). However, if you still have an NES, you're probably not a kid so it shouldn't be an issue. Overall, this game is well worth the going price. It's not a rare game, so it probably wont cost you an arm and a leg, and you will surely get a lot of enjoyment out of it.Read full review

Caveman games is a lot of fun even in single player mode but even better playing with other people. It's the caveman Olympics. For running from a sabertooth tiger, mate toss, and others with a sense of humor to it.

The overall hilaraty fact of the caveman games is excellent, even tough the graphics have alot to be desired. Though to be fair, that is to be expected. The ganes shows alot of imagination and is fun to play, which is the main point why I buy games anyway.
A Nintendo classic. A must have for game fanatics

This game brings back memories. However, it really wasn't much fun playing it over 20 years later. Definitely glad I didn't pay more money for this. The controls are very faulty and just plain bad.
I played this as a child, as it was my friend's copy. I still own his copy because he let me but I wanted to buy my own in case I needed to return his. Really fun came you won't regret buying!
