      Works pretty good and great price

      Bought one of these to transfer water away from my foundation to a nearby ditch. Works pretty well. I bought a 1"npt female pvc pipe adapter which fits on the smaller threads of the pump adapter (and cut off the restrictive ridged hose adapter part of the pump adapter) and then piped it to the ditch with 1" thin wall pvc ($2 per 10 ft section) with an upward pointed 45 degree ell so I could see the water shoot out when it pumps. Put the pump in a buried 5 gallon bucket right under a downspout with a screen over the top. Also put gravel around the outside of the bucket and drilled holes so it will drain surface water as well. The bucket with the tether type float switch is a little tight but works ok. Water shoots about an 18" arc from the end of the pipe and takes about 6 seconds to empty ...

      Great submersible pump. Lasted 10 years submerged.

      I have used one of these for 10 years to pump water from a tank in my basement up to my fish tank after it was purified. It finally gave out after being submerged that entire time. It was used for 10 minutes every week for those ten years. I bought it over twenty years ago. I think I got my money's worth. I was surprised to see they are still being made and I'm here to buy another. Great product.
