I've used this fragrance since the early 1960's, Have given it as gifts, and always get compliments on it. One of the best fragrances a lady can ware.

Classic Fragrance Was Disappointing
I bought Shalimar without smelling it. I researched it on perfume review websites and it was always highly rated. It is known to be one of the classic fragrances spanning many years. I like spicy/oriental scents such as the discontinued Asja by Fendi. Besides my particular liking for a scent, I can tell I made a good selection by the number of times I’m asked what scent I’m wearing or being complimented on how good I smell. Neither happened when I applied Shalimar. I immediately disliked the topnote but waited until the scent blossomed. I still didn’t like it. I gave it away.I bought Shalimar without smelling it. Love it
You can't beat wearing a fragrance that is designed by a company that has been in business a long time. Shalimar may be new to someone else but I've worn it before and now realize how much I miss it! To my knowledge, Guerlain doesn't discontinue a scent. They are timeless.

The Smell Everyone Loves!
Because this is Toilette, it doesn't have the long-lasting linger the way a perfume would. Yet it does stay on several hours. Shalimar is one of those fragrances EVERYBODY loves smelling. It was a great price. In the airport Duty-Free store, they wanted $119.00 for the same thing!
