    SCM820-DAN-DB25

    I have years of experience with Shure's earlier analog version -- SCM810. It's simple and straightforward to use. The newer SCM820 is the digital version and significantly more complex. While many of the SCM810's general operating features have been continued, the 820 is a computer -- and acts like it. Firmware continues to progress and it's important that all units must thus be maintained in an up to date manner in order to correctly function together. Each operating position will require UPS backup for reliability. I consider my units to be in a familiarization stage and thus are not yet used in customer service. It's critical not only to understand fully SCM820, but the Dante networking system that supports many of it's features. There are important differences between the SCM820-Dan ...
