    Solid traditional printer

    The ultimate in a family of HP printers using black and tricolor 96-97 iink cartridges. (This one is jazzed up and can take additional types if you are not satisfied with its perfectly nice photo quality.) Well designed, works well for all our needs. Out of production quite a while now, but available new and lightly used.

    Great photo printer that is easy to use.

    I bought this printer about a month ago so I could print my own professional looking photos right at home. I did alot of research on photo printers and decided on the HP 8450 because of it had all of the features i needed at a reasonable price. I like the fact that you do not even need a computer to print your photos. This printer has slots for and reads all types of memory cards, and then displays your photos on a LCD screen right on the printer. You can also hook your camera directly to the printer using a usb cable to view and print your photos. One feature that I really like is the dedicated photo tray for your 4x6 photos. You can print photos on a wide variety of paper sizes, from 3x5 up to 8.5x14. Another nice feature the printer provides is a variety of enhancements that can ...

    great printer that is affordable

    I got this printer for about $70 on Ebay a while back which I have to admit was a steal. The quality this printer delivers is incredible. From my past experiences with printers (hp deskjet 3650 mostly) I just figured you could not print good photos at home. This printer is incredible. Digital photography has become a hobby of mine because of this printer. It will only print pictures as good as your camera though. Tuning your photos with 3rd party software (I use Google's picassa) also makes better prints, but again it depends on the camera. I never found a need to use the "maximum dpi" mode. "best" provided ample quality for my pictures. If you plan on printing many black and white documents, you should consider getting another printer because The 3-gray cartridge will not last long (I use ...

    Another excellent product from HP

    I am very happy with this printer. It has a excellent picture quality, it does everything in one. You can see the preview before printing and you can also edit the picture. I was really happy with those few option. After a few month I bought a HP camera (real thin ones) and discovered that I can connect the camera to the pritner and print pictures. It's also easy to use. I would rate it 5/5 !!

    Love this printer

    This is the 3rd Hewlett Packard Photosmart 8450 InkJet Printer I have bought. I have not found a better inkjet printer yet. I like that it only takes 3 ink cartriges, not 6 or 8 like most newer models. I like the quality of the photographic images. I love that you can print directly from your camera memory card without a computer attached, but also how easy it is to import images from a card to the computer through the printer. I have not found a flaw with this printer that's why I use it at home and work and so do other family members.
