The Tokina AT-X PRO 17-35mm f/4 FX MF SD AS IF AF Lens for Canon gives the photographer a lightweight, high-tech zoom lens designed for crisp details across wide-angle shots, such as landscapes, street shots, beach sunsets and evening weddings or concerts. It captures accurate details from the left to right of a landscape shot as well as in the foreground and the background. Designed for a full-frame Canon camera, this specialized narrow aperture (f/4) Tokina lens can focus on objects as close as just 28mm, but its calling card is its ability to zoom out to give a spectacular diagonal angle view as wide as 103.96 meters. Not only will it perform beautifully for photographers in outdoor panoramic shots, but it performs impressively well in tricky tight-angle positions when trying to capture between trees or through doorways. From these tricky but sometimes creative spots, the Tokina AT-X PRO 17-35mm f/4 FX MF SD AS IF AF Lens excels capturing that same wide crisp clear depth and width of detail. The Tokina AF 17-35mm f/4 AT-X Pro FX specifications include a bright constant f/4 setting makes viewing and autofocus (AF) possible even on dull days or in low-light situations, such as indoor events. Its range covers f/4 to f/22 giving great flexibility and performance in a variety of light and weather conditions. The Tokina exclusive touches such as the Two Super-Low Dispersion glass elements and one aspheric glass enhance contrast and sharpness to photographs as well as controlling chromatic aberration. This clever AT-X f/4 Tokina lens for Canon cameras also has the exclusive Tokina One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, which makes it easy to switch between AF and MF by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and back toward the mount for manual focusing. This is useful for shooting on the run. It is also water-repellent, meaning it can be used in wet conditions, although it is certainly not a replacement for an underwater lens. Its high-tech Tokina mechanical parts are sealed and can take a fair bit of rough use during rugged outdoor photography expeditions or quick moves on the run during a wedding. The zoom and focus rings are also smooth and steady, giving the photograph the control of the camera needed for the perfect shot. It uses an integrate DC motor which makes little or no noise even when it is working hard in low light situations in the f/4 setting.
