The Hitachi Ultrastar 10K300 is an internal hard disk drive which is suitable for commercial workstations and network servers. The Hitachi Ultrastar 10K300 has a 2 Gbps fiber channel interface, enabling efficient data transfer between this Hitachi internal HDD and the host. Being SMART compliant, the 10,000 RPM drive monitors, analyzes and reports disk failure instances in advance, based on predictive-calculation. This ensures that the Hitachi internal HDD deliver reliable performance and prevents unexpected downtime and loss of data. With a 16 MB cache memory, the 10,000 RPM drive lets you search and retrieve stored records within seconds. The highly optimized voice coil motor in the Hitachi Ultrastar 10K300 enables fast data access, hence enhancing the capabilities of the drive.
