About this product

Product Information

Your mission in N2O: Nitrous Oxide is simple: Fly a ship called a tunnel runner into nitrous oxide filled tubes, and destroy the enemies they hold within. These enemies are mutated insects, including beetles, mosquitoes, flies and wasps. For each enemy you kill, your runner increases in speed.

The tubes themselves are psychedelically multicolored, with ever changing patterns and landscapes. They are filled with nine different bonus weapons that can be added to your runner.

You have the option of customizing your runner's shape, color and texture to your liking. The shape you select will affect the braking and turning speed of your runner, while the color and texture customizations are purely aesthetic.

N2O: Nitrous Oxide features a soundtrack by The Crystal Method.

  • Great game if you're not prone to seizures

This was a great game I played a lot in high school. It's extremely fast paced and lots of fun. I'm surprised nobody commented yet on the best feature of this game. The entire game loads when you put the disc in and load it up. After that you can put any music CD into the playstation and listen to anything you want while playing the game. As far as I know it's the only game for Playstation you could do that.

  • N20 What a Trip

I remember playing this game when it came out in 1998. At the time it was the most trippy games out on the PS1. Now 12 years later I'm older and a slew of games have come out but this one holds up. Even without the help of High School recreational pharmaceuticals this game is a blast. The Crystal Method did the soundtrack and that's cool in it's own right. The game play is great. The only bad thing is that the game doesn't support analog controllers. Also, you can pop this disk into a cd player and listen to the music. This game is a great piece of nostalgia from the better days of the late 90's

  • N 2 Omg this game rox.

Talk about a blast from the past, this is one of the most audio/visually stunning titles of its time, and still maintains intense gameplay. There is no question about it, this game was designed, written, and produced to entertain one demographic; FUBAR'ed youth... and it delivers. From an amazingly useless ship customizer to one of the best soundtracks for any game ever, to mushroom powerups modeled after actual Psilocybin laden partyfungus. This game is the perfect way to ball out safely in your own home. Invite some friends, get some good substances, and trip out to this terrific timeless title. -PixelPusher myspace.com/pixelpusher

  • Perfect Flash Back Game

I had heard a long time ago that playstation had pulled this game from the shelf because it had been linked to gamers have seizures due to playing N20 for extended periods.......I don't know if it is true, but it was funny. Nonetheless, I loved playing the game and the Crystal Method having their music in the background is awesome! Thanks

  • Best game ever!

This game is so sweet, if you like the Crystal Method, you will love this game. There are remixed tracks not available on cd. I have seen the Crystal Method in concert twice and playing this game makes me feel like I'm at one of their shows. The visual effects are fantastic as you twist, turn, and shoot your way towards the eye at the end of the tunnel. With so many challenging levels, plus bonus levels, this game ensures maximum replayability.
