A Soul So Rebellious
I really liked this book. I had Ms. Sturlaugson as an English teacher about 30 years ago when I was in college, so I thought it would be fun to read about her life. It was! I was amazed at how difficult her young life had been, and how it unfolded later on. I, with my white, middle class upbringing, couldn't really relate to her lifestyle, so it was great to be able to gain a greater understanding. She survived many harsh struggles, and must be given a lot of credit. Her first interactions with the LDS missionaries were quite amusing. And her triumph at being able to fulfill her own mission was awe-inspiring. High marks. CindyI really liked this book.
