This set is a treasure trove for collectors and casual fans! Simon & Garfunkel are one of, if not the, greatest musical duo to put their music out into the world. There is very little I could say about their music that has not already been published within the last 5 decades. This 3-disc CD set contains their most well-known songs, as well as several tracks exclusive to this release. The set also contains additional artwork and notes detailing the duo's history and their cultural impact. This is an essential cornerstone to any music collection, be it your only Simon & Garfunkel piece, or your crown jewel of their released work. This would be a great gift for anyone that collects music, and a fine addition to your own! This set is a treasure trove for collectors and casual fans! I have had Simon and Garfunkel's 'Collected Works' set, which contains their five studio albums, for many years. The 'Old Friends' compilation goes one better than merely repackaging previously issued material by including a generous helping of fifteen previously unissued studio and live tracks. It also includes most, but not all, of the tracks from the aforementioned studio albums plus the 1975 single "My Little Town", which had been omitted from "Collected Works", along with a booklet. This collection has been packaged several different ways—as a boxed set with the discs in individual jewel cases, in a hardcover portfolio format with the discs mounted inside the covers of the booklet, and in a 'fat' jewel case. Mine is the second of the three. In all, this collection should satisfy most ... I have had Simon and Garfunkel's 'Collected Works' set, which contains their five studio albums, for many years.
